I’ve gotten strangely attached to this pipe, my first foray into briar in decades. Can anyone recommend someone who would do a first class job of restoring it?

I see nothing there that can't be cleaned up with household items. What's the issue?

I see nothing there that can't be cleaned up with household items. What's the issue? Agreed, other than a finish. I'd be curious what household item could be used for that. (honest question).

I see nothing there that can't be cleaned up with household items. What's the issue? The stem is dull and while I have polished a few, I don’t have time to do it nor do I want to deal with the mess right now, plus I would need to buy polishing compound for my buffing wheels, and probably a few new buffing wheels. Although not evident in the photo, the previous owner didn’t keep the bowl waxed either and on parts of it the stain has faded, so strip, stain and refinishing the bowl is in order. It’s all things I could do but the last thing I need right now is more projects. “Cleaned up” isn’t an issue.

I've had this fellow longest since 1992, and I wipe the bowl down with both sides of the cloth and thumb buff the vulcanite stem with toothpaste.

I happen to have quite a few of them. I will give it a try. Thanks!
