So, the neat feature on my Big Ben is that it is made to take a 9mm filter, which I love, but the pipe comes with a stem insert to be used IF you don't want to use filters. I love that design! I definitely need a couple more Big Bens.

The use of filters is very popular in Europe while not so much here in the USA. The first thing I do when I get a filter fitted pipe is chuck the filter. Depending on if you want a fuller draw don't use the adapter. If you want a more restricted raw then use it. I've done both depending on what I'm smoking.

I love the options this set up provides, just like you pointed out. Can use a filter, can skip it, use the adaptor or not. Should work for just about anyone's preferences  |
