Admittedly I am not a big burley fan. However, I do see the need for it sometimes as a condiment in a blend.
1. Which type of burley do you recommend having on hand for blending and amending?
2. Secondly, which brand. I know there is a big difference in blending tobaccos between brands. For example, Sutliff blending perique is swimming in PG and seems gloopy and cheap.

I really like Dark Fired Kentucky Burley, I’m not sure who produces it but you can buy it at P&C, it adds great body plus a nic boost. C&D Dark Burley is also a good one. Both are best when used sparingly or they will take over a blend, so start slow with 5% and work up from there.

One other thing I’ll mention is that I have gotten significantly better results when blending in small amounts/percentages by chopping the tobacco a bit finer that I am blending in, especially if it’s a broad ribbon or larger cut. I still experiment with chopping or not but it can change the results from just mixing it in.

I like C&Ds dark burley, Five Brothers is always a winner, and PS Dark Fired if you're into DFK
