Since I got 4 tins I believe of last year's initial release, I only added one tin this year and threw in one extra tin of C&D Jolly Old St. Nick. Now I'll dig into my Scarecrow crumblecake stashed in a jar from last season and smoke up the rest of that and pop one tin of the Jolly St. Nick. Not tried that one yet but should now have my fall/seasonal holiday blends covered.

I would try it, but my Aro’s do not get smoked.
Read the reviews, and it gets great reviews, but I don’t think it will work for me.

I would try it, but my Aro’s do not get smoked. Read the reviews, and it gets great reviews, but I don’t think it will work for me. Though slightly flavored, it's not much of an aromatic. |

I would try it, but my Aro’s do not get smoked. Read the reviews, and it gets great reviews, but I don’t think it will work for me. Though slightly flavored, it's not much of an aromatic. Nice review, Duane. I will also smoke it anytime but I do get quite a lot of caramel/candy corn/cocoa. and over the top flavoring. It's not a Sutliff aromatic or goopy, but I quite like it being heavier handed in those flavorings for the seasonal and Halloween aspect of the blend. |

I totally forgot to mention until I came back to the thought and it was too late to edit my post. The aromatic smell of the Scarecrow is so powerful it easily smells up the entire room in your house, provided it's bedroom sized just from the open tin. My wife and daughter both unanimously think that Scarecrow smells like candy corn and vomit. I love the way that it smokes, especially once it's rubbed and aired out for about 10-15 minutes. Like Duane says in the video, it's a lot of the C&D red Virginia cavendish flavor in here. I think it's aging well in one year, the unopened tins will be something in a few more years.

After 3 bowls of this in different pipes, I have found that the aroma of the tin and the candy flavor only lasts for the first 3 or 4 puffs, then it settles down to a mostly straight burl/Virginia blend. Not bad but nothing special. I'm finding it kind of bitey, so I'm going to jar it and try it again next year.
