Just enjoyed a cheaters sample of my pressed cake. 2ozVirginia No 1 plus 1oz H&H Lataia flake rubbed out blended and then pressed hard for 18 days. It's mellowed one week since I took it off the press. GREAT smoke so far...

I like that tobacco, but I’ve always had the darndest time keeping it lit. I tried drying it and everything.

bigwoolie It's always been finicky for me too. I slice it thin and then chop it up small. Sometimes it'll burn just right. Other times I have to poke it, tamp it, yell at it, call it bad names, etc. When it all goes well, it's such a satisfying smoke.

It's seems like it's mellowed out. When it was fresh it had some sort of bite to it. I dont mean tongue bite, or burning, or anything like that, but something was there that I can only describe as "astringent." I didn't mind it, but I'm glad that it has disappeared.
Now it taste like nothing but good stout tobacco. I loved this stuff then, and even more now.

Similar, dang good.

It's on my list but I alway miss that one. So, nope, not YET. I have Brown Boogie, Black Irish X, Brown Irish x, Whiskey Twist and Rum Twist. All are stellar. The Black though... I have to be in the mood for.
