Was full walks earlier, Latitude Zero 6x50 for company. After the Ed is fed, Peretti English in ILCeppo full bent craggy blast & continue with the papers. Another "back to sleep" caused this delay.
61, to 70, clouding up later, clear for now

Had a second bowl of Haunted Bookshop, then Friar's Bayou mix while running errands and monkeying around in the workshop (misplaced a tamper so I made a couple more). Gonna reload the Thursday cob with more of the mix.

Finishing off my open Der Pfeifenladen #300 with a partial bowl in my Savinelli Punto Oro Smooth Natural Classic 106 Billiard. Since carpal tunnel surgery #2 is tomorrow, we went out for a great dinner of Chili Rellenos in tortillas since messy two handed meals will be out for me for the next two weeks. My wife, the Township Clerk, made it through her marathon day yesterday. Left for work at 5:30am and managed to be done and home before midnight. That’s a decent time compared to some elections as she and her Deputy also have to drive 15 miles to hand deliver stuff to the County Clerk's office. Best of luck with the surgery, John! Thanks! We got home about an hour and half ago. Things went smoothly. I was surprised to find that my left tunnel (today’s surgery) turned out to be tighter than my right because my right wrist symptoms were noticeably worse. As I was chatting with the surgeon during the procedure and talking about how tight the tunnel was as he tried to get the endoscope through it, he had said that he wasn’t surprised based on my EMG test results. I said my primary care doctor said the test result was "moderately severe". The surgeon said that based on the tightness of my tunnels that he’d drop the word "moderately".

That’s my limit for typing one handed for now, but I am enjoying pipes on the couch with my arm elevated on a stack of pillows. I think next up is Black Mallory in a Dr. Grabow Royalton Apple.

2016 quiet nights in a Brebbia. Oddly, I remember really liking this a year ago and this year it's very flat. When I crack an aged tin, I try to smoke through it. My impression is, that is going to be the best it ever is, and will not age any further, but can degrade once the tin is cracked. Can does not mean will, but it has happened to me.

GH Kendal Dark in an antique squashed bulldog meerschaum. I usually don’t smoke my pipes with real amber stems often, I’ve had some bad experiences in the past (I’ve bit the tip of the stem off one and broke a couple) but this one smokes shag cut tobaccos really well. This is a pre-cleanup photo, all of the match soot left on the bowl rim by a previous and likely long gone owner came off.
