I've been nursing a bowl of brown rope all morning, ducking our first rain in forever. It's in its usual Grabow straight Rhody.

2016 quiet nights in a Brebbia. Oddly, I remember really liking this a year ago and this year it's very flat. When I crack an aged tin, I try to smoke through it. My impression is, that is going to be the best it ever is, and will not age any further, but can degrade once the tin is cracked. Can does not mean will, but it has happened to me. I don’t worry much about 5 to 10 year old stuff. I jar it up and it’s fine for the 3 to 6 months that I’ll smoke it. For 20 year old tins, once I pop them, I try to smoke those quicker as they can fade fast once open.

Started the day with Haunted Bookshop in the Friday cob and coffee. Nothing much planned for the day in terms of chores. Will spend some time in the workshop.
