A few bowls of Friar's Bayou mix while doing things around the house today. Also, I managed a nap, at which time I did not smoke. Now, Haunted Bookshop in the Saturday cob.

1792 Flake again in a calabash. This flake I’ve been smoking is from 2011 I believe. I love this stuff but even after a decade plus, it’s still one of the hardest tobaccos to keep burning I’ve ever had.

My first taste of Lane's TK-6, in my Savinelli 118ks pot. Dark Chocolate flavors, that reminded me of Watch City's Old Black Magic, with a shadow of cherry that I found unpleasant until I got past the 1/3rd mark. At that point the flavors found their place in line, and while I may not reach for this every day, it'll come in handy for those porch-swing afternoon when nothing else works.

Enjoying a mystery blend from a jar that the label came off of, in Savinelli Punto Oro 805 military mount. Hot cup of coffee. It is an English blend where the latakia is present, but not as much as most of my regular latakia forward blends. I'm thinking it my be one of the jars of G&H No. 25 Mixture.

A homemade mix I call Third Encounter, in my 118KS Deluxe Milano pot. Over the last few weeks, I've formed a bond with this pipe. I find it hard to put down. I don't own what I'd call a bad Savinelli, if there is a bad Savinelli, but this pipe takes whatever I put in it and turns it into an event. As I enjoy my second coffee, I'm looking over my racks for something to smoke while the 118 gets a cleaning and some rest.

Taking it slow, with frequent breaks. All I'm doing is dusting the cave in preparation for holiday decorations. At least I can smoke a pipe while I'm cleaning. On topic, Friar's Bayou mix in the Sunday cob.
