Looks very nice, but the links for the photos aren't working for me. Thanks! I used postimage for the links. I'll try to find another way to link them.

That is a very nice-looking piece! From what Cramptholomew tells me, they are not the easiest shape to pull off, and you did it well!

That is a very nice-looking piece! From what Cramptholomew tells me, they are not the easiest shape to pull off, and you did it well! It’s not necessarily that they’re hard to make, I just have had nothing but bad luck making them. I have not made one without having to scrap 4 other blocks every time. With today’s briar prices, that’s near $80 of waste, $100 in briar total, and what’s my ROI, like $30-$40 when it’s all said and done? That’s after shipping, tooling cost, stem material, etc. So, no more pokers. I’m not a huge fan of the shape either. What IS difficult is doing them RIGHT. Making sure the bottom barrel matches the top - if you’re doing a straight barrel. The gleam lines better not be wavy if it’s smooth. Cutting in 360 degrees of shank/bowl junction just so. Pokers are just a pain in the arse. The bad luck (for me) and not being really invested in the product are icing on the cake. I mean, a diamond shank bulldog is far and away harder to produce well, but at least there’s some gratification in pulling one of those off.
