Well, I can't say it did a world of good last night, but I still have to figure out the dosage, timing, etc. We'll see. Thanks for all the feedback.

Trying something new to help with sleep. I'd been taking Valerian root and melatonin, but apparently melatonin can cause problems if you take it long term; besides, it didn't work all that well for me, anyway. Now I'm gonna try magnesium l-threonate, which is supposed to work pretty well without negative side-effects. We'll see. First barrier to effectiveness: I'm not a great pill swallower and these capsules are pretty large and you have to take 2-3 of them. I used to use a pint and a half of 101 peppermint schnapps. Can be quite habit forming and not so go on the liver but does induce sleep.

Planning on moving to LA so I can feel safe.
"The LAPD is aware of possible first amendment activity in the Los Angeles area over the next few days. In coordination with the US Secret Service, additional uniformed personnel and other resources will be deployed to ensure the highest level of public safety." This is a direct quote. Birthday/ anniversary/Christmas… always presents a problem for me. Buying the wife a gift…. Whatever is needed/wants has already bought, A 14 day Royal Viking European river cruise is a bit too pricey.😉

They go through beautiful country. Everyone speaks a kind of English which can be mostly understood. The beer is great. The food, takes some adjustment but is palatable.

About the river cruise, that was a bit tongue in cheek, we will do that in a year or two. In the here and now, I think we are going to forgo buying each other presents, and buy something together for the home. We just finished redoing two bathrooms, I think the kitchen will be next.
I will look at the barge cruise and see what comes up. We like the idea of a river cruise, only unpack once, in a different town everyday, and tailor the exploration to the wife’s mobility…. She has really bad knees and knee replacement is a last resort for her particular situation.

I realized I never posted a picture of that tattoo I was referring to in my earlier post. the banner says mom sorry it's a bit blurry it looks alot better in person. My mom was a nurse in Vietnam during operation homecoming and was stationed on the kitty hawk. Hence a old school style rose of no man's land nurse.

This morning was a Nuclear Stress Test at the hospital in town. The test was easy but the 50 mile dawn drive in s blizzard with fog and road ice took me two hours through the mountains. Slipping and sliding like a weasel on a string, as Bob wrote once long ago. Became stuck on one grade and had to back down to try again. If I were younger, I would have put on chains. Made it in time. Test was fun. The new isotope used has a half life of 45 minutes. So, no early evening glowing here. Came home and took a nap.

After a drive like that, I certainly would've been plenty stressed before the doctors even did anything.

Took a good shower and cussed the whole time. Big doc day in the morning pain doc and wound care between the two they make you feel like a million bucks. Old, Used, Dirty and Wrinkled. Got in a cigar after lunch. Grabbed a nap by the horns so that worked out good. Sipping my last cup of coffee for the day and it is cookie time with Roxie the ninja chihuahua.

Had to go to Marshall yesterday to the dermatologist for a biopsy. Got really dizzy on the way home, like a reaction to the local anesthetic. Stopped in Jefferson for a latte with an extra shot. Made it home and spent the rest of the day in bed.

Just came it from watching the meteor shower. Saw several. Spent many long nights in my youth out in the woods watching stars and stuff, but it's great to see them from the back yard. I love living in the country. Nice bright galaxy we live in.
Happy Bill of Rights day to those who care.

It didn't hurt when she did it, but I still feel like poop Yeah, I was thinking of driving down the highway and all of a sudden you get dizzy. Yikes. Yep, but at least I was sitting. I'm very careful about driving impared, if I was a bit worse I would have pulled over and called the wife. I have driven a million miles, (700k before I was 21),and I fell asleep at the wheel in 71 and hit a big rig head on. I know exactly where the line is and I keep my distance from it. In other words, I wasn't impared, I just didn't feel well at all.

No one has ever fallen asleep while brushing their teeth. I started doing that and it works. Son of a gun. I am not joking.

There used to be a gadget for that. It was a rubber stopper with a sharp pin protruding from it. You wore it on a kind of halter around your neck. If you nodded you got a painful reminder not to.
