Getting much needed rain in PHX, a pretty warm front, wish it was colder for the snow pack. Lake Mead and Lake Powell are headed to being mud holes.

Getting much needed rain in PHX, a pretty warm front, wish it was colder for the snow pack. Lake Mead and Lake Powell are headed to being mud holes. We've got flash flooding forecast for tomorrow. Pond's almost full, highest it's been in 18 months. I wish you water in a good way.

It sure would be nice if there was a way to route water.

If it is from the same front that is moving through here, it has not stopped all day.

Just gotta say the lack of capital letters in the thread titles is killing my OCD-ness. I believe it's grammatically incorrect anyway, but UGHHH!!!

It sure would be nice if there was a way to route water. It would be a reasonable job if we had a functional government. The Mississippi has been dry recently, but I think that's over. We couldn't guarantee a certain amount all the time, but we could balance things out.

Now, if the US Government spent a Trillion on such a program the howling from a segment of the population would make us all wish we had stayed with Herbert Hoover.

We have pipelines moving oil all over the country. Why not water. All the California agriculture losses would cover the cost in 10 years. Probably cheaper than putting a man on Mars. Of course I hear that California is going to be flooded before long.

The volumes to be transported, at least per what is needed and what makes sense, greatly surpases oil and its fractions. This aggravates number 1. 3. Water is not a commercial commodity. It belongs to us all and is transported and delivered mostly by government.

Yeah, they piss away trillions on nonsense, but fail on the important things that affect our everyday lives.

There is equal opportunity here, real opportunity! Think of all the construction, engineering, materials geologic, soils, etc. contractors who would be hired! What, it would be a new GOLD mine!
