As far as standard coffee makers go, that one is the best! The plain old bare bones one.
I switched to a French press because I can make mine into mud easier that way, but it's hard to beat the old school Mr. Coffee pot for drip.
Good buy!

If anyone is interested:
Country Squire Tobacco has a sale - 10% off any of their Middle Earth Themed tobaccos. Apparently it's Tolkein's birthday!
BUT the main news is that their "Milkwood" blend is now in stock. I've been wanting to try it for some time but it's a limited production item. It's now in stock.
So, I bought: Mirkwood, Northwest Trek (English Aromatic), Parson's Blend (Fruit and Burley), Indian Outlaw (Virginias and Cavendish). I've never smoked any of these so I can't recommend them - yet.
BUT - I do recommend their Blue Ribbon and Hunting Creek blends.
I would also

It’s not tobacco, but I did finally pull the trigger and order me a Filson Double Mackinaw Packer wool coat. Should be here this week.

I've read the Christopher Morley books this past year. Very enjoyable and I think worth a revisit.

I've read the Christopher Morley books this past year. Very enjoyable and I think worth a revisit. I've got most of his novels in free ebook formats but many of his are now extremely hard to find or even find a real copy. Much of the free domain printed works that aren't strictly popular classics are OCR scans and super shoddy quality prints from terrible print houses to make money overpricing and selling free public domain works.

Got a new CCrane radio on the way. Replacing my CCrane Skywave radio, knocked the old one over and broke it after 15 years of faithful service.
I have the larger model for the kitchen, this smaller one I use in the bathroom. Perfect audio for talk, and the ability to pull in distant stations is phenomenal.

Even here in the Texas outback we have local radio stations and satellite! Yeah, we have no problem pulling in stations, but when I travel by car, I often take the little unit, and it is amazing out in the hinterlands...even here in Phoenix, it pulls in stations from far away where other radios would fail, and and the batteries last incredibly long. I placed an order on Saturday, after my CC radio SWP took a 7 foot tumble, and my wife told me it was in pieces. I got home, and snapped everything back in place and it works fine. Diminutive in size, but the little guy is built like a tank, so I cancelled the order. I also have a CCradio Sangean that I bought in the nineties that keeps soldiering on! At one time the LCD display went bad, and Ccrane replaced the display for free, long after the warranty had expired, and paid the shipping...superior service. They had admitted at the time that they had experienced issues with the display on some....

Sounds like a great company and in a wonderful location. They were a staple advertiser on Coast To Coast AM with Art Bell back when Art broadcasted from the Kingdom of Nye, and I got bitten by the radio bug. Art would have a person here and there that was a nutcase crackpot, but he didn’t necessarily give an endorsement. George Noori now can have batshit nuts on and he heartily endorses anything they say.

I couldn't believe that anyone took his show seriously.

I couldn't believe that anyone took his show seriously. He had jack Anderson on one night for the full show. Jack was a journalist of the kind that no longer exists. He said that he had been diagnosed with early Parkinsons and wanted to get off his chest what he knew about the JFK assassination. It was very interesting to say the least, I have searched high and low for a copy of that recording and cannot find anything.

Sheridan, Wyoming. Yep, around the 1st of April. My dad and sister live there. That's a big change, Kevin. Hope it's a good one for you. I don’t think Kevin is moving there. The way I read it, he is asking if Dewayne is moving there. Dewayne responded in the affirmative. Kevin responded that he has family there. But I might be wrong. The way I hear it, Dewayne is teaming up with Jack Palance… City Slickers beware!😉
