Once again Amazon shipped one of the nicer coats I ordered for my wife's Christmas in clear plastic, and she beat me to the mailbox. You'd think those people would know we order stuff for Christmas this time of year, but this is the second year in a row they've done this. My review was on their service, rather than the item, and I blasted them...I know I should have made it to the mailbox first, but the mailbox is a block away, and if I could jump up and walk a block when ever I wanted to, I wouldn't be shopping mail-order! What a disaster, Herb. I ordered a silk scarf for my wife and there's no way that she won't see the package when it's delivered. I'll just have to keep it wrapped and hide it from her in the basement. She's a peeker.

Good Luck, I ordered a scarf/hat set, last year, and it was delivered to the doorstep in a clear plastic bag, for the wife to find when she got home...makes you wonder who does the thinking around there.
Doesn't take much of a peeker to see through clear plastic!

Doesn't take much of a peeker to see through clear plastic! I certainly hope that my package isn't shipped that way. I ordered it from the gift shop at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. Perhaps they have the good sense to have shipped it in a wrapped box.

Not in the mail, purchased at Paul's Pipe Shop on Saturday. The top two are mine, the bottom two are Christmas gifts.

A new Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 tablet, a protective case, and a small magnifying glass are on the way. I bought the tablet directly from Lenovo and it'll be here on Thursday. The other stuff is coming from Amazon.

Yes, you have when I’ve posted smokes with one of my Dunhills (Amber Root 4103) or one of my Kaywoodies. It’s what you get when you’re making a Canadian and there’s a flaw in the end of the shank.

Interesting. I can see now that those are ovals. My brain must've been "autocorrecting" them to circular, before.

This is great. I wish we had a shop like that so I could show my support. I put in an order for some Arrowhead, but not enough to make a difference.

Not really in the mail, but stopped by Scheel's and I picked up a pair of darts, the guy working that section had been in dart leagues in England, he pointed me to Harrow's of England darts, not Harrod's (that might have been pricier. Going to spring on my son and son in laws, that there will be a competition in our Christmas get together with nice prizes to be won. I have the advantage of practice...but then again, I am paying for the prizes. I used to play at Jersey's Cheesesteaks in Campbell Ca. back in the day, I was quite good, we will see if the old man has gas in the tank.

That's awesome to see the support for a local business and very surprising there would be good press for a tobacco shop! Do they have other blends you would recommend Ron? I haven't tried any of their products.

I'm not quite old enough to remember the comic books, myself, but I remember the movie from the 80s, Queen soundtrack and all. Flash had a very similar color scheme to Iron Man.

www.tobaccopipes.com/sutliff-cringle-flake-2023-pipe-tobacco/7 tins coming my way. One of them… gotta buy it every year blends. “ Mark Ryan's 2003 Vintage Perique leads the way for this year's Cringle Flake. Stoved Katerini has been added to the blend combined with decade old Red Virginias to create one of the most unique blends available today The whole leaf is then pressed and sliced into broken flakes.” My 2030 Cringle flake has 2003 Perique with 10 YO Red Virginias also. 2003 must have been a bumper crop season for Perique.

I haven't tried any of their products. I’m unpaid staff at Paul's… Arrowhead is a fantastic vanilla aromatic which is one of the few aros which ages spectacularly. (High praise from me as I smoke very few aros and mostly Va and English.) Darwin Asa is a great American English and favorite of shop regulars. Morning Smoke is great rare to find blend of just Virginia and Latakia; just enough Latakia for smokiness. Late Night Smoke is Virginia, Latakia, and Perique; the Latakia and Perique are very present.

Is the tobacco blend description page back on the site? It got removed in the wake of the FDA deeming regs in 2016. That was never anywhere near a full list. The best way to find a blend is to call the shop and talk to Dan about what you like. The vast majority of store blends are aros. (I should say the page was unlinked from the website. I had the URL bookmarked and could go straight to it.)
