Margaret, Sorry to hear about the headaches you faced, it sounds like the forceful solution paid off for your mother… glad that is the case. Glad to see you again… I was looking through an old thread and saw a post of yours, and missed you. thank you. it was incredibly frustrating watching her rapidly decline and no one would listen to us. the medical profession seems to think family over dramatizes things, and maybe some do, but we don't. Fortunately there was a home care nurse who evidently made some calls and managed to get some appointments in place, but they were weeks away, so that's when my brother called and got forcefull with people. So glad that things have turned around for her. awww, it's nice to know y'all were thinking of me. |

Doing your own yard work in Mexico and parts of our Southwest is taking a job from someone that needs it. Used to be so cheap. When I lived in El Paso you could get a 3’ stone wall around your back yard for $100-300, depending on size. The Mexican masons would bring the stones up from Mexico with them in their rattle-trap truck. Their work was really good, too. Probably about 10x that now, or more, as that was in 1964. I wish we still had people willing to do yard work, construction or ditch work. That has little to do with membership here in the Patch other than to suggest recruiting members from where tobacco smoking is still popular. I was about to suggest Afghan outreach but then realized that is not tobacco in those pipes being smoked.  how to print screen on pc |

I've noticed that we seem to have a dwindling membership here at the Patch. I visit some other forums, but I don't post much away from here. We must have bad breath or something. Even the owner, sparks, posts on other forums, but on here he only chimes in if we get out of line. Is it my fault? As the major contributer I will be glad to go away for the good of the forum. [br It is not you Sir! You are one of the good guys. |
