one of my favorite designers is having a crochet-along on Facebook. It is a blanket made up of thirteen squares -- one central one and twelve to go around it. Just completed the center square.

That is beautiful. I know nothing about this, how long did that take?

That is beautiful. I know nothing about this, how long did that take?
I started it last Tuesday, got a couple hours in that day, a couple on Wednesday and Thursday, then went to drill with hubby Friday-Sunday, which means I sit in the lobby all day those three days, so on Friday and Saturday I worked about 8 hours each, finished up on Sunday morning, probably no more than 2 hours, then worked on a cardigan I'm making for one of my nieces. Part of what takes time with something like this is that almost every row you change colors, which means you have to cut the yarn, weave it in so it secures and is also "hidden." It will probably take longer for the smaller squares. There are three smaller square designs and will have to make 4 of each. The next one is quite intricate -- four interlocking rings in the center. But I don't start those until next week....
