As I understand it, you don't really want a vacuum. You want some air in there for the fermentation to take place. I may have that wrong, or it may only apply to Virginia-heavy blends.

Yes it is... pretty sure I ordered the same unit and it works with my vacuum sealer...if it works with yours, I recommend it. Make sure you check for compatibility, and/or return policy.

I work at a cannabis cultivation and we use these to vacuum seal distillate to keep it from oxidizing, so it will be oxygen free for sure. If you have the food saver with the vacuum port they are compatible.

Seems like a lot of expense for little added benefit. Why not just use a standard mason screw on top and place the lid on when the jar is warm , like out of the dishwasher. . Cooling down will contract it.
