Burt Bacharach has died at age 94. Another creator of the soundtrack of my life is gone.

Truly a great composer and his collaboration with Herb Alpert in "This guy's in love" was really an awesome song...casino Royale is no slouch.
He made the world a better place.

Herb Alpert was no slouch, either. My mother was a Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass fan when I was a little boy. We wore those records of hers out. Mom played trumpet through HS and I did the same on cornet. I still listen to Herb. I checked just now and he is still performing. Two dates coming up in March in California and then he’s got quite a few Canadian concerts. Catch him while you can. Herb is 87 now. I hope he plays until he is 100.

Now that was music, nowadays TRASH! That redheaded kid from England isn't awful. I'm sure zydeco is alive and well. We're going to a bluegrass concert Saturday night. And a piano concert in March. Just don't pay attention to the popular TV crap. I will never see the big deal of Queen B.

Homage to Burt's contributions in "Casino Royale" 1967. I am thinking, eh? Certainly a well deserved cameo. For myself, Burt could have a cameo in just about any movie even Westerns. Like Count Basie in "Blazing Saddles".
