I recall the term “consumption” in the days of my yute! At that time, I knew that based on the conversation it was in the context of health… but I am younger than some of you old buzzards.😉

Jiminks goes through a pound a week. Around 2-3 weeks for me. I average 20-24 pounds per year.

Some weeks A LOT, some weeks 0. I don't even know how I'd figure up my yearly consumption. But I have 30-40 jars open and barely notice a dent in them.

Hard to tell if this counts as a hijacking. I'm old enough to remember, back in the last 60s and 70s, when there was a lot of political turmoil around the world and decades before the airlines finally hardened their cockpit doors, it was almost a routine headline that some guy with a cause and a gun would commandeer a plane and divert it to Cuba or Algeria or someplace else.
There, now that's a hijacking.

I might go through a pound in a year. Maybe a little more if I meet with Gypo for a smoke.

Anybody have a guess at how many pounds of tabac they go thru in a year? About 4 pounds or a little more. But less than 5 pounds, I think.

TB had it's upside. The first opera I saw was La Traviata. The beautiful soprano singing at the top of her lungs as she was dying had me in tears at age 12. I believe that some artistic license was involved.
