That a nice Radice G. I just don't know how I've been enjoying my big pipes without having been instructed.

That a nice Radice G. I just don't know how I've been enjoying my big pipes without having been instructed. I think the final sentence says it well. For me, my larger pipes only work well for English blends (contradict), but for others that I know quite well, the article substantiates. Different journey for all of us, but I think for many, the advice is profitable.

Fill, light, and smoke. They function no differently than small pipes excluding their larger capacity and longer smoke duration.🤷‍♂️

Thanks for these links, Charlie. The first article in particular interested me deeply. I have to admit that, while I have a passing familiarity with Pipes and Tobaccos, I had never heard of Dayton Matlick. It is remarkable how from behind the scenes, though not a pipe smoker himself, he contributed so much to the pipe-smoking world.

Tried “rubbing out” some of my long-ribbon Z92 this morning. Then BRAINSTORM: put some in a small Cuisinart food processor. Couple of bursts on “low” makes a pile of cigarette tobacco mighty quick. Smokes well, too.

While not my largest one, my smallest pipes average a two inch depth. Smaller pipes are too difficult to hold with my bad hands.
