More Pegasus in the Wednesday cob. Back into the workshop. Fixing that 3-beer problem? Yeah, that was one of the things I was working on. Ended up filling the sandpits with a mixture of CA glue and briar dust. I'll post the results later. Also, working on another pipe. Experimented with a new-to-me rustication technique. In the meantime, Haunted Bookshop in the Wednesday cob.

While trying to find a Ball jar to empty, I found one with just enough Stonehaven for a bowl. So I’m smoking that in my everyday calabash.

Smoking a spill-tray mix of Captain Black Royal and an equal amount of Sutliff's Estate Blend, in the tinsky freehand, with the Carey system stem...I added a new Carey filter, and found myself in that zone where the pipe, tobacco, and the smoker come together for that perfect moment. For a few seconds, I was wondering how these two blends could work so well, then I just stopped thinking and enjoyed the smoke.

Good Morning! It's 30° here with a partly cloudy sky. I have a pair of Savinelli Venere 128s on the basement workbench waiting for an alcohol maintenance treatment and rim cleaning, so that'll be my job for the afternoon. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of Wessex Brigade Campaign VA Flake in the BBB Own Make Virgin Canadian and there's a fresh mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket.

2017 Heinrich’s Reserve Crue #2 in my Pierre Morel petite Freehand with horn shanl extension. Smoking this pipe always makes me think of Paris as I bought this during a business trip there. I always call it my petite Freehand because when the shop owner was asking me (in English) about what types of pipes I liked. I had said that I liked small pipes and then thought to say “petite" in French. The shop owner's face lit up and she pulled out this French artisan pipe. "Petite" is the perfect word to describe this pipe with its 0.75” deep chamber.

The above Linkman Fifty Grand is one I have had for a while waiting on being refurbed. Now that it is complete I don't know if I want to smoke it or sell it. As I will not be able to buy any new pipes in the foreseeable future I am leaning towards packing it and giving a light! Meantime it's Presbyterian Melange in a Schoenleber Handmade Canadian as I catch up on me school reading... A large black coffee on the side...

How do you keep a mug of coffee under your jacket? It's a stainless steel insulated travel mug with a screw-on, absolutely leak-proof top. It keeps my coffee very warm for a good while when the temperature is above 45°, but I have to keep it under my jacket for extra insulation when it's colder.
