Gary Rossington, the last surviving member of Lenerd Skynyrd has died at sge 71. He wrote Free Bird among many other songs.

One of the great bands marred by tragedy. A plane crash like that would have destroyed most bands. Gary was a talented man. Hard not to love LS.

I saw Lynyrd Skynrd with Ronnie a year before the bird went down.
I saw Johnny Van Zandt on the farewell, we are retiring tour a few years back… he really delivered the freight, it sounded just as good as the concert in 76?.
Now they are restarting the tours.
Free country, I am all for capitalism, but they probably would be better off not declaring their final tour… just take a break and play it by ear.
