Our local shop, Twins of Londonderry, is hosting a Peterson Pipe Show this Saturday. I just saw the post, so am not too sure who the "Petey Blinders" are save a nod the the Peaky Blinders. $30 to join, but redeemable towards a Peterson pipe if interested.

Saturday March 11th in Londonderry from 12:00-4:00pm, is our annual St. Patrick's Day Peterson Pipe Show, our biggest Peterson show of the year! There will be a wide selection of Peterson pipes, lighters, and accessories!
We invite you to show your love of Peterson pipes and join the Petey Blinders for $30! Joining (or re-upping) has its privileges…Like entrance to the Petey Blinders Speakeasy where, amongst other refreshments, will be a Jameson Black Barrel tasting with Jameson's Tequila Talia, and Gawith Hoggarth's Black Irish X, Brown Irish X, and Whiskey Twist! You will also get your choice of either an Irish Coffee pairing with Jameson Stout Cask and Brown Irish X, or a pairing of Red Breast Cask Strength Whiskey with Black Irish X!
There will also be raffles, and prizes for the best dressed Petey Blinder, best flat cap, and for wearing the most green! PLUS as a Petey Blinder you can count your $30 membership against the cost of any new Peterson pipe during the event! It is going to be a great event! Don't miss out!

That sounds like a really cool event. So you get to have whiskey tastings, AND you get pairings with Gawith Hoggarth twists?! This sounds worth the $30 to me for the camaraderie of it all alone. If they're passing out special edition Jameson's paired with Brown Irish X and Whiskey Twist, and Irish coffee? Sounds like a good time. I hope you're attending.

I plan on attending. I've been wanting to pick up a deluxe system pipe, and am hoping they have a few to check out.

So, I neglected to give an update on the event. Peterson brought out a large variety of pipes. The first picture is from the event coordinator, and is only some of the pipes on offer. There were between 20-30 people who attended, most people took advantage of the entry fee credit towards a pipe. I was happy to see that they had the shape I wanted available. It is my first deluxe system pipe, and I was hoping to find a classic XL5s. While not a PSB, I thought the sandblast was quite nice. There was plenty of the advertised tobacco for tasting (I find that I prefer the Black Irish X), as well as offerings from many pipe club members who brought other blends to sample. Awards were given out for best dressed, best flat cap, and for who wore the most green. Overall I think it was a nice afternoon, and I look forward to checking out more of their Pipe Club events. I didn't get a pic of the awards. IIRC, it was a classic brown tweed flat cap. If I see a pic from someone else, I'll see if I can share it.

Looks like a successful meeting. More Peterson pipes there than in the Peterson shop in Dublin.
