Got off early today for physical therapy and then came home and blended some Presbyterian, Match Presbyterian that is. Bought one of the blending kits from Pipesandcigars.com and mixed the ingredients in a big stainless steel bowl and am now smoking some. Smoking a bowl of it in a Personal Reserve bent Dublin. It tastes pretty good, very smooth and there is no bite.

Just finished a bowl of Match BB1938, blended from a P&C blending kit, in an El Morjane Algerian briar billiard. On thing that I noticed about these pipes is that it is difficult to fit a pipe cleaner into the stem because the opening is so small. Anyone else run into this problem with one of these pipes? I'm either going to have to open it up some or find some tiny pipe cleaners.

I have an old Whitehall billiard that I use a piece of guitar string dipped in Everclear for cleaning...the airway is fine, but the opening at the button is crazy small. I never liked the pipe enough to fix the opening.

I never liked the pipe enough to fix the opening. I have a couple of really cheap pipes that are like that, but I have 3 or 4 Whitehalls that are fine in that department. It would probably be worth fixing.

Good Morning! It's 64° here with a mostly clear sky, one of the workshop doors is wide open, and the heater is turned off. I've come down with a blasted simple head cold so the usual coughing, sneezing, and nose blowing are involved. Regardless, I'm starting the smoking day with a bowl of Peterson Flake in the BBB Two Star Special and there's a fresh mugga coffee on the tobacco table.

Good morning. Another warm day expected. Smoking Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake in a Rattray's. Coffee accompanies.... That Wessex Brigade Campaign VA Flake is just outstanding, I think. There should be two tins of it along with one tin of Wessex Brown VA Flake in the mail for me this afternoon.
