Good Morning Again and Welcome to April! It's a mild 56° with a mostly clear sky and bright sunshine. This afternoon, however, the winds will begin to blow stronger bringing thunderstorms to our neighborhood. For the time being, one of the workshop doors is wide open and there's no need for the heater. I just lit up another bowl of Limerick VA Flake in the Don Carlos and there's some coffee left in the travel mug. Time to check out the news and then it'll be time to head back to the house. Have a good day, everyone!

2022 C&D House Reserve (Brick&Mortar Exclusive blend) in a straight Falcon with a Hyperbole smooth bowl. This is a very good traditional American aromatic. It's a broken flake of black cavendish, Virginias, and burley heavily cased/topped with rum and molasses for a real old school codger aromatic profile. I'd like to see this as a regular released flake in general.

Savinelli 140th in my BC calabash. Beautiful pipe! Thanks! Even beyond the looks, which I really like, I did make some small airflow and stem modifications to it when I got it. Out of all of my calabash pipes, this is the best smoking one I’ve ever had. I really enjoy it. Lots of people talk about their “desert island” tobacco pick, well this would be my desert island pipe.

Another day of alternating between Haunted Bookshop and Friar's Bayou. Saturday cob. Now, breaking that trend with 2022 Folklore in a Pete Christmas 2020 B10.

Good Sunday Morning! It's right at 32° here with the mandatory cloudy sky. This afternoon we're heading out to pick up some boxes of the large strike-anywhere matches from the hardware store and then off to BJ's for our grocery order. Starting this smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in a Savinelli Venere 128 and there's fresh coffee in the travel mug.

Back from a weekend at a Tennessee State Park, I'm smoking Carter Hall in a Dunhill Shell apple. @zach, I assure you I didn't mix Carter Hall into any of the tobaccos that I sent you. What I meant was, it's so close to Carter Hall, that he who mixes John Patton is the one doing it. I've been liking it quite a bit, the only discernible difference I clearly notice is that he used a vinegar treated burley varietal that tastes like it came from C&D.
