I shipped the wife off to Minnesota to visit my son and our granddaughter Liberty that she has been missing. True to her nature, off to antique stores and she texted me that she saw a pipe that the tag said "Imported briar"...pretty much says basket pipe but that means you are buying a pig in a poke.
I got back much later and told her to take a pass..."too bad, I bought it for $10"
Oh well...
She got home at O' dark thirty last night, I got home at O'light 60 today. An LHS Certified Purex Imported briar, shape 98 which is the "Caboose" which I do not have, but my LHS pipes are great pipes!
Mine does not have the gold band like the advertisement (bottom pipe)
...silverish, but not silver, the stem needs slight re-clocking, lightly smoked...looking forward to smoking this one after it hits the pipe spa.
