Replaced Refrigerator water filter, under the sink water filter to the tune of 115$, they are time used not end of life, Sheesh!

My under sink filter is rated for 5 years. The pre-filter is supposed to be changed every 6 months but it wasn't even the least bit dirty when last changed. I get the fridge filters in 3 packs from Amazon for about $12 each. Our water isn't bad even unfiltered.
