Finally! My trees are starting to bloom. This is common chokecherry, Prunus virginiana.

Congratulations! We had a ton of blooms on the trees this year, but they are long gone now.

Spring can’t come soon enough here. Nothing but rain, rain and more rain. This big bright glow thingy appeared in the sky yesterday and was actually warm enough for the first bbq of the year (actually two years as I was MIA for 2022). Sadly, Mother Nature decided we need more rain as showers back in the forecast. Stop the insanity!

Spring came right on time here in Kansasland. Funny thing is the forsythia didn't hardly bloom at all. And not in just my yard, either. Redbud, Bradford pears, ornamental crabapple, all over town have blossomed magnificently. But not the forsythia. Weird.

We have had a cool spring and the blooms lasted for over a month.
