Zarnicky birthday on Halloween but I not too sure about ghosting. Should I using dedicated pipe for each tobacco? Can zarnicky using same pipe for all aromatics and different pipe for English or crossover blend? What your opinion? Zarnicky thanking you for your help.

I don't worry about ghosting my own pipes. If you like latakia blends they will ghost a pipe, but future latakia blends will taste better in that pipe. A single bowl or two of an aro won't do much to a pipe that a single bowl of English won't fix. If you smoke Blood Red Moon in a pipe day after day, that ghost will probably never leave, while the Wilke aros will probably never ghost a pipe.

Ron brought up some good points. Personally I thinks it’s a personal choice. Having said that, how many pipes do you own? Haha…. All kidding aside, I have some pipes strictly for Aro’s, Virginia’s etc. But then, I’m retired Army. I like things organized and compartmentalized.

Some better smokers than others. Zarnicky liking them all. Missouri Meerschaum Ozark Mountain Bent not so great. Is cheap pipe OK for trying out new tobaccos. All Zarnicky's pipes having filters.

Personally, I wouldn’t worry about “cheap” pipes. If you’re happy with it who are we to say otherwise? As for filters, again it’s a personal choice. I sometimes will use a filter depending on my mood.

Lakeland blends are pretty notorious for ghosting pipes quick, fast, and in a hurry. I don’t smoke those often, but I do have a couple of cobs and specific briars I restrict them to.

I would perhaps watch out for Lakeland blends as they are notorious for ghosting pipes. That said, I quite like the effect that a Lakeland ghost brings to a pipe of something other than Lakeland.
I still can't taste much other than smoke anyway, but I smell the smoke as I exhale, and that's what counts for me.
