 Wife and Grandson with his Stetson rimmed with 50$ bills, his graduation is a 2 day affair, my health wouldn’t let me go, I would be an anchor around their necks. Daughter came and picked wife up. Her twin is coming from Houston to attend the second half.  |

Story about the hat, wife says young people are wearing hats, I said a Stetson is the only hat for a man, she goes to town, calls me, Do you know what Stetsons cost. I say yes I do and it’s Stetson or no hat. He got a Stetson!

Went with wife for her surgery, 4:30 am get up, didn't get home till noon, neck was killing me. It's still sore. When wife gets better I'll talk to the Dr. I've had back trouble but never neck problems.

Yep I got a 32$ class ring paid by my Grandfsther, and a suitcase from my Father, so I hit the road. Many years later Dad said I didn't mean for you to leave, I looked at him and said Really Dad you give a man a suitcase what do you expect him to do. I didn't realize it but he did me a favor.

Yep I got a 32$ class ring paid by my Grandfsther, and a suitcase from my Father, so I hit the road. Many years later Dad said I didn't mean for you to leave, I looked at him and said Really Dad you give a man a suitcase what do you expect him to do. I didn't realize it but he did me a favor. I graduated at 17, my dad broke a ceremonial dinner plate and told me that it was a cold cruel world and it was time for me to find my way. In my case, home life sucked with my dad’s shack up mate (no stepmothering by her), so it was an easy decision. And yes, in retrospect a good thing. |

An event he will always remember! My graduation had much less fanfare and I remember it. I had to go to work after the ceremony. It was in the old Houston Coliseum and there wasn't any AC. Several students passed out from the heat in those heavy robes. I should have skipped it in retrospect. Not a good memory for anyone. |
