I have never smoked a pipe without a filter. I just saw this beautiful pipe on line. It is a Mastro Geppetto: Liscia Cherrywood. I wonder if I would enjoy smoking a pipe without a filter. Is there any decent way to filter this pipe? Do you think that cherry wood is as good as briar? Here is a photo of the pipe.

Cherrywood is probably the shape, not the material, as that is a slightly abstract cherrywood shape. They make Philtapods and pebbles that go in the bowl under the tobacco the pebbles and crystals work better on most pipes. I have Cherrywood pipes made out of cherry wood by Ropp and they are excellent.

Yup, that's a cherrywood shape. A cherrywood is like a poker, but with more acute angles. Imagine the trunk of a small tree with a slim branch jutting up from it, both of them cut off just a bit above that point, and you have the basic relationship between the bowl and shank of the cherrywood shape. I could see it suiting you, based on your pic.
I can't really speak to whether you would like this particular unfiltered one, since filters are what you're used to. I can say Mastro Geppetto makes a good pipe. They generally don't come cheap, though. You could try smoking one of your filter pipes without the filter a few times to see if you like it, first. Preferably, it would be one that has an insert to reduce the airway to a more standard size, but if you don't have one of those, just try it, smoke slowly, and see what you think.

The only time I ever smoked a pipe with a filter was long ago when I bought my first corn cob pipe and didn’t even realize it had a filter installed in it. After smoking it a while, i was no longer able to draw through it. I then discovered the soaking wet filter. I never have wanted a filtered pipe of any kind though. Just a thought, you could get a corn cob pipe and make sure the filter is removed and check out smoking without them without risking a larger investment if you only want to stick with filters. Plus you could always put filters in the cob and still use it.

I bought two Savinelli Venere 128s, one smooth and one rusticated, and the came with filters and filter adapters. I tossed them because I personally find filters to be too restrictive on the draw. I don't mind the open draw because I can control it with cadence.

There are 3mm paper filter options or crystals which Ron mentioned if you're worried about moisture. I tried both and still think the best way to handle this is good packing and prepping of the tobacco if it's too wet.
At most, you will make some adjustments so don't limit yourself because of the filter.

I sometimes use the Vuen filters. Never had a problem with them.

Filters are a pain. Add the cost and diminished experience, they are a bit too much for me.

I remember once smoking a pipe with a filter that came with it. It was the first time I tasted anything in the smoke. I bought the same filters and couldn't replicate it. That was one great smoke.
As for your pipe, Wizard - I like the look of it. Ron's seems to have seen better days.
