In true Wonder-dog fashion, Buster the beagle awoke from his mini-coma at 12:30AM. The look on his face told us he had no idea how or when we had placed him on the bed, and the licking on my forearm told me he had to pee. I put him on the floor, and with legs much improved, he walked to the kitchen , where Sandy, our shiba, took the lead as they headed for the yard, When they returned to the kitchen, Buster took a few sips of water, sniffed at his untouched food bowl, and up-chucked the water...while i cleaned up the mess he took another sip, and this time he managed to keep it down...I tried to take him out again, but he turned instead, and followed Sharon back to bed, where he is now fast asleep at her side. Perhaps the Vet can tell us what the heck is going on with the little guy, as he's still not out of the woods, but I'm so thankful that he not in the limp, dish-rag state he was this afternoon, and equally thankful for your kind words and thoughts
Good night, Herb.

We're with you and Buster all of the way, Herb. Let's find out what the vet has to say. Hang in there, both of you.

Herb, sorry to hear about your Buster. I hope it is something that the vet can figure out.

All the best to Buster! The confused look is all too familiar as Henry had another seizure last night. It took a full hour before he quit acting confused and disoriented.

Thank you all for your good wishes. This morning Buster looks to have done a system refresh...after his usual morning belly-rub, he went out for morning business, and returned to the kitchen to drink some water and gobble down his supper from last night. Gone are the weak legs, and dazed look...he even gave the back yard a quick check for any sign of our groundhog. His regular Vet called early, and sed that if he's this much improved, we should watch him throughout the day and call back if he took a downward turn, otherwise we could bring him in a leave him for tests...we ain't leaving him, he hates it, and we hate it. Darin, give Henry a hug from me!

Good news about Buster. They ARE resilient li’l cusses. Jack had similar symptoms after his episode, months ago now and he’s doing very well. I’m in agreement that stressing him now would not be a good thing. The best medicine is being with his loved family. You go, Buster!

Do you have any idea what's causing the seizures? My best wishes for Henry's recovery, Darin. No idea other than they started after he was neutered. One possibility is that they over anesthetized him but no good way to prove it.

One possibility is that they over anesthetized him but no good way to prove it. Our first Yorkie died because of the anesthesia, but it may have been because of liver damage from some previous medicine they gave him. City vets usually suck.
