Just thought I would post some photos of an item I recently added to my collection.   The tobacco was in it when I got it, although age has taken its toll. It doesn’t smell like tobacco, but rather like an old book. |

From reading posts on various sites, it seems like packing a pipe is where most newbie’s get tripped up. If there was a device that simplified that for them until they realized it’s not that complicated, there may be more pipe smokers. |

Quite possible.
You find the most interesting, out of the way smoking accessories. It sounds like the spring on this one must be stronger than it seems like it would need to be, with the result that it looks to me like the pouch would be prone to tearing after a while, with the way they show to hold it while you work the piston.

Good to know that it's easy, quick and sanitary! Yeah, the “sanitary” part cracked me up a little. Fill the pouch with dirty hands if you want, but then you don’t need to touch the tobacco when filling the pipe? |

So, it smells like the best thing in the world! 😁 He saw Big Foot once. Back in 1951, Sequoia National Park. Had a foot on him 37 inches long, heal to toe. Made a sound he would not want to hear twice. My favorite Old Coot. |
