Blew out the bottom of this one with wood chisel (trying to remove wood insert). Ideas?

Blew out the bottom of this one with wood chisel (trying to remove wood insert). Ideas? It's a cob, so just buy another one. In the future just burn it out like everyone else, or twist the shank out and cut it off. If you let it go naturally, it will smoke better over the years.

You can drill it out and put in a hardwood plug. Or just buy a new one.

Would pipe mud fix that? You could maybe varnish it afterwards to hide the fix a little.

I tap on the pic to have a better look, and a pop up asks me to download the image and they try to sell me something. Post images seems like a bogus hosting service.
As for the pipe, I look at cobs as expendable unless it was dad or grandpa’s and had family history.

I use Postimage with no problems. But I have a paid account. Still, clicking on the picture doesn't take me to the linked picture.
