He was always a reliable presence on screen. I am sorry for his family. RIP, Sir. The main reason I do not ride a motorcycle anymore and so miss them. Even driving a Ford F-250 with a heavy duty front bumper and bull bar with the lights on so many asshats turn in front of me or pull out as I approach. If it were not for anti-lock four wheel disc brakes and my outstanding reflexes there would be many more deaths here. What is wrong with people these days asks an old man?

Old men ask these questions all the time, because we have known ‘other’ times. When things were different and life had a different cadence and substance. I think it may be a strategy of the Overmind to make us less grasping about the years left to us.

Weird that Wikipedia does not show him as “Burger” in the movie “Hair”.
Great actor… RIP.
I agree with John, I have had done dirt biking when younger, I would love to ride the open road on a bike, but 40+ years of trucking, I have seen a lot of idiots that bike riders have to share the road with.

Years ago I raced bikes in dirt scrambles. Even then, there was NO way I would ride on the road.

When I cut the swale in front of my farm, I cut it against traffic, even then vechiles pass so close that they could have merged into other lane to keep from hitting me, most of them are on their phones. You aren’t safe in a car much less a bike.

Not easy as I was raised to meet standards not applied these days. So, I lower expectations, take a breath and deal with what comes. I get the gradual disengagement which comes with age.
