We hope that you are all doing well. Our thoughts and prayers go out for Mike from Tucson, his mother took a bad fall complicated by other health issues.
We trust that the doctors will use their wisdom to put her on a smoother path going forward, and wish her a speedy recovery.
Next month in October, the second Saturday of the month when we have our pipe club meetings, some of us will be at the West Coast Pipe Show in Las Vegas on the 14th.
We will still have a pipe club meeting at Maduro's that day for those that are not making the trip north.
Regarding this month, there is nothing special planned, I will be bringing the old Paladin with me for people to smoke again, and/or try for a first time.
To me it was surprisingly good, I am not much of an aromatic smoker, so to my palate, the muted flavorings were a plus, just a good old-fashioned blend.
And of course, there will be plenty of other tobaccos to sample...do not hesitate to look around and ask to try anything. That is one great aspect of attending pipe club meetings, "try before you buy"
can help avoid buyer's remorse or inform you on what you would like to purchase in the future. Some blends get magnificently better with age, you may have a fairly new blend on hand that just seems so-so.
I encourage you to reach out and request to try that same blend with age on it so that you can see how that affects it. I know that I have quite a bit jarred that I can bring for you to try. If not, we can give a shout-out if others do! Arizona Pipe Club
