Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Thursday cob and coffee on the back deck. It's about 75, calm and partly sunny. I've picked today's vegetable haul and watered the garden boxes, pots and baskets. Things are definitely winding down in the vegetable patch.

Mowed the lawn. Now, it's time for some Friar's Bayou in the Thursday cob and a mug of cold water on the back deck.

Late to post, but enjoyed a bowl of Haunted Bookshop in the Dr Grabow while painting the fence yesterday. Little bit of Tom Sawyer vibes.

Two more from you fine folks, put together from Les-trout. Now in LaughingBachus meer, Boswell RailroadStation, Coke by side. 1st bowl of Wilke #400 was pretty decent. Both equal in latakia % to me.

Did battle with some overgrown azalea bushes and made a nice big pile out front for the city pick-up tomorrow. Followed that up with a bit of Marlin Flake in an Alberto Bonfiglioli.

Good Morning! It's 54° here with a clear sky. I woke up very early and couldn't get back to sleep so additional napping will be needed later on. This afternoon I'm meeting with a pipe smoker friend at our usual tobacconist shop in Akron that's halfway between our homes. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of Scottish Flake in the Savinelli Venere 128 smooth billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Have a good one, everybody! Hey Russ--a few years ago the label on Scottish Flake changed. Do you think they changed the blend? Old label on the left--new brownish label on the right:

Also, softybits are my new jam. Makes smoking while working with my hands, no matter how heavy a pipe, much more comfortable

The visit with my friend Tom was good as usual. We sat and smoked in the tobacco shop's clean, comfortable lounge and, as usual, I picked up a tin. I bought the last one of Limerick VA Flake and it was promptly squirreled away in my cellar. I smoked Peterson Flake, Straight Grain Flake, and McC #27 Virginia while Tom smoked one of his favorites, ODF.

Also, softybits are my new jam. Makes smoking while working with my hands, no matter how heavy a pipe, much more comfortable Aside from the initial inspection, the first thing I do to every pipe I buy is put a softy bit on it. They're a godsend.

Late to post, but enjoyed a bowl of Haunted Bookshop in the Dr Grabow while painting the fence yesterday. Little bit of Tom Sawyer vibes. For two apple cores and a dead rat I'll help you finish that fence...but first I'll smoke Alexander Bridge in a Ben Wade Reflection, and drink some watermelon flavored sparkling water.

Good Morning! It's 55° here with a mostly clear sky as Summer comes to a close. Not much on the list for this afternoon, so I really should get to the hobby bench and finish up my project. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the smooth bent Amorelli Three Star and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Have a great Friday, everybody!

Happy Friday, all! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Friday cob and coffee on the front porch. It's about 70, with partly cloudy skies and a light breeze here. Gonna putter in the yard today, until it's time to get cleaned up for a wedding tonight.

TGIF greets to those affected. Was Baccarat 6x42 on earlier walks. Boswell RR Station in RadiciRind full bent sitter & a CokeClassic at desk. Spent near an hour yesterday going thru Boswell website, never found the blend. All I know is that's what the label says. Plenty latakia for my wants/needs & thanks for the suggestion from Les when he helped with the huge gifting recently. Other "new to me", Wilke #400.
Ed-not too good looking thru many websites
