Best wishes on the kidney stone, Russ. Hope it all goes well. Thanks, Urb. My concern is that I may have an infection which could further infect my replacement hip.

Finishing up some VA Slices while I work on breaking in this Dagner Poker cob. Very pleased with this pipe, kinda checks all my boxes. Good smoker, sits, decent chamber size, clenches well, looks great, and affordable.

First pipe of the day, John Patton's Storm Front in an Old Dominion stack billiard. Some very painful back pain got me out of bed at 4AM this morning...today's diet was a steady stream of Ibuprofen and Lidocaine patches.

Through the benevolence of a kindly member of our illustrious company I am about to enjoy a very nice bowl of Motzek Strang in my Dunhill Shell Bent... A large sweet tea alongside... As promised Darin, “It’s time for Saturday Night LOL, John! Nobody else knows that’s an old picture of me on the left next to you. Makes me miss those days with Simon, and a lot of folks not around or on pipe forums anymore. Miss that whole Motzek era and getting Strang direct from German friends. Saturday night was Strang night. Aye Mr. Zach, twas a grand time was ‘ad by all shipmates gone past...

Good Morning! It's 59° here with a cloudy sky and we may get a rain shower at sometime. Well, I went to stat care yesterday and the x-rays show that I very well may have a 7mm kidney stone stuck in my left ureter, the tube between the kidney and the bladder. The next step is to call the veterans clinic in Canton and arrange for an ultrasound for confirmation. Anyway, the smoking day has begun with a bowl of fresh HH Pure VA Flake in the Stanwell Silver Mount blasted billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Have a good one, everybody!

I hope yours can be handled as easily. 🙏 This morning's smoke is 2008/09 McClelland Beacon Extra in an IMP Meer with black coffee to drink.

Happy Monday, all! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Monday cob and coffee on the front porch. It's a cool 61 degrees with clouds and a strong breeze here. Hit or miss rain forecast for much of the week. I had a busy weekend with family activities. SILs parents were in town, did a variety of things with them and the kids. Pipe and tobacco pouch weren't far away. We had a good time.
