The word todays is "Sesquipedalian" or one who uses big words, long words. From the Latin Sesquipedalia or 1 1/2 foot. Became part of the English language in the 16th Century, or so I have read. For my part, I assiduously circumnavigate the vicissitudes of sesquipedalianism.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious was a commonly used word back in the 60's and early 70's, YMMV.
