Golfed in the rain today and it was definitely a tale of two nines: 9 over on the front nine while 2 under on the back = 79 score. Mississippi River and Afternoon Delight to keep me company.

Gatlin Burley in a Butz Choquin billiard, cold water on the side. Mowed the grass till dark, but I finished with enough light left to run the back-pack blower over the driveway.

Still trying to resolve that gross experience I had a couple weeks ago smoking Barbary Coast, a blend I'd never smoked before, in a Comoy's estate pipe I'd never smoked before. Last night I smoked some BC in a practically unsmoked Nording and had no complaints. Today, I'm testing the other variable, smoking some OGS in that Comoy's pipe: I picked up a couple of very faint perfumy hints, but they were less frequent and much less noticeable than when I smoked BC in it. I guess the pipe might be slightly ghosted, but that very bad experience seems to have been mostly the result of the specific combination of that blend in that pipe. I'll avoid that in the future. I quite like this pipe, so I'm glad to find it doesn't have a serious ghosting problem. Very glad your second smoke in this pipe was enjoyable.

Limerick Flake in a Radice billiard. You may not be wrong about this blend, Russ. Further testing is called for.

Good Morning! It's 62° here with a clear sky and moonlight. Not much on the list for this afternoon, so I'll spend some time at the hobby bench, change the HVAC filter, and otherwise just putter around. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the BBB Freestyle and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the workshop tobacco table. Have a good one, Everybody!

Starting with Gatlin Burley in a "Made in London England" bent brandy, a smooth dressy ox-blood stain with gray acrylic stem on this guy, it was my pipe of choice for weddings or wakes. Coffee at my elbow, and my wife on the other side of the table, home from twelve days with the sisters, all is well.

Good morning! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Tuesday cob and coffee on the back porch. It's 69 and sunny, headed to 82. Another summery day here. I'm still picking vegetables, though the garden is slowing down. I'll be in the yard most of the day, continuing with fall cleanup and lawn mowing.

Good Morning Again! It's 72° here with a clear, sunny sky and today will be very warm. The new estate BBB Freestyle smokes wonderfully, is well balanced and easy to clench, but needs to be broken in. I'm currently finishing up another bowl of HH Pure VA Flake before heading back to the house for brunch and there's still some coffee left in the mug.

Greetings fellow pipers... Been off the pipe for a upper respiratory event this past week, so, by way of getting back to normal, whatever that might be, having a bowl of Sugar Barrel in a Danish Pride Handmade... A bottle of water on the side...

I went out to run the weed-eater around a few things, and set up the Green Egg for tonight's London Broil, and all the while I had a MM George Washington cob stuck in my jaw. I found out two things...One--- I don't enjoy the pipe as much, on the move, as I do sitting on my butt... and two---Gatlin Burley and corn cob pipes are a match made in Heaven!
