Keeping it in the family on both fronts, now it's Old Gowrie in a Comoy's prince:

I dunno, Pete. After trying them back to back, Brown Clunee is good, but I prefer Old Gowrie. It's just one comparison, but so far I'm still Team OG.

Good Saturday Morning! It's 36° and damp here with a cloudy sky. This afternoon I have to do some puttering around and get a few postponed chores out of the way. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Upshall smooth quarter-bent Dublin and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a great weekend everybody!

Smoking a bowl of fresh Straight Grain Flake in the Upshall Dublin while watching another episode of my streaming murder mysteries. Such a fine combination of a great pipe and a great tobacco.

Good Morning Again! It's 35° and still cloudy here. Smoking a second bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Upshall Dublin and sipping my coffee. I'll finish up with this and then head back to the house.

Finished up some 2020 Plumcake this morning and moved onto 2020 Symphony in a Rob Roy Legend cob. A lot of running and finding household items for the new place as well as some pre black Friday deal hunting to be done and trying to find the motivation.

Happy Saturday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Saturday cob and coffee. Gonna put the focaccia in the oven in a bit. Household odds and ends to be done this afternoon. We're going out with the kids late afternoon and back here this evening.

Balkan Sobranie 2017 in a cob today and a cup of coffee. I was primarily a VaPer or straight VA smoker before a several year hiatus. However, I have really been enjoying a variety of Latakia smokes since my comeback a couple months ago. So much so that my trusty VaPer and VA tobaccos seems almost flavorless and unappealing.

Or the aged Viriginias have lost that prominent grassy/hay note, making them less interesting.

Capstan blue in a Savinelli 121. I don't own many pot shapes and they don't get much work.

I never disliked Latakia, but I had to really be in the mood for it, which was seldom. I guess it’s similar to sneaking a pull off your fathers bottle of whiskey as a kid and wondering why anyone would want to drink it. Now as I’ve grown older, I have acquired the taste for whiskey.
