With a big ol' hawk for company. He just landed on top of my fence, about 15 feet from me. Looks well fed. I bet you're missing a few baby rabbits around your yard...I have one around here so big I think twice before I let Buster out by himself. Mountain Camp from 05, in the LaRocca Dublin, with a few sips of cold coffee from this morning... the wife is home, and just mean enough for me to know she is back to normal .

Don't have any rabbits in the yard, that I know of, but the other side of my back fence is an open field with one oak in the middle and then a tree line on the far side. I'm sure s/he does alright. I occasionally see sparrows and whatnot ganging up on a hawk over the field.

Oh! I completely missed the very end of your post, Herb. You buried the lede! Glad Sharon is home and seeming like herself.

While out and about this evening, I had Friar's Bayou in a self-made billiard. I'll have some Haunted Bookshop in the Thursday cob in a bit.

Had an indoor bowl of Boswell's Vanilla Creme in the newly arrived Dunnie prince. She's a good smoker. Perfect draw and light as a feather.

Good Morning! It's 36° here with a cloudy sky and milder temperatures are on the way. I'm still slogging along with this blasted sinus infection which is more like a visit from the Shadow of Death at times. This afternoon I have to pick up a prescription for my wife and, then get back in bed. Uggg. Anyway, the smoking day has started with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the BBB Freestyle smooth half-bent pot and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Enjoy your Friday, everybody!

Currently smoking one of my favorites, Former's Straight Grain Flake, in the BBB Freestyle. I'm watching an episode of Vienna Blood streaming on PBS and there's some coffee left in the mug.

Good Morning Again! It's 37° and still cloudy here. Finishing up a bowl of another one of my favorites, Scottish Flake, in the BBB Freestyle pot. Time to go back inside and get some more sleep.

Happy Friday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Friday cob and coffee in the cave. It's 48, partly sunny and breezy here. We're getting new gutters and siding installed on the house today, so please excuse the noise! I'll be doing some work in the yard, mostly leaf cleanup on the lawn,as I try to stay out of the way.

More Friar's Bayou in the Friday cob. Mowed the back lawn and topped one of the garden boxes with chopped up leaves and grass clippings. Mostly leaves.

Some old, dark Edgeworth RR, from long ago, in a flawless straight bulldog, marked Kaywoodie Super grain 07C. The pipe wares a lovely golden maple stain, and it's been waiting and waiting, for a moment just like this.
