Good Morning! It's 33° and breezy here with a cloudy sky. This afternoon my wife's physical therapist is coming by and I have more laundry to do. I also need to make more additions to my vintage railroad postcard blog. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the BBB Two Star Special smooth billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a good one everybody!

Just lit up a bowl of Straight Grain Flake in the BBB billiard while sipping my coffee and watching an episode of "Maigret" with Rowan Atkinson streaming on BritBox. This four part series is an excellent production and Atkinson is totally convincing as the famous pipe smoking Parisienne chief inspector.

It's right at the freezing mark and very damp here right now. Finishing up my time in the workshop with a bowl of Bayou Morning Flake in the BBB billiard with the last of the coffee left in the mug. The eight ounce can of this tobacco wasn't available when I placed my recent order, so I just added extra tins of my regular favorites. I'll get more after the holidays.

Happy Monday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Monday cob and coffee. We're going to our son's house today to help decorate the basement for the holidays. We'll be gathering there for Christmas Eve festivities.

Good morning from the frigid south 31º when I went out to the dart thrower (acupuncturist) this morning. She throws her little darts at me to calm the little critters running round inside my legs. Don't see much happening as yet though. Guess she hasn't hit any of them yet. So before I go to the dentist later I will enjoy a nice bowl of Bruck's Navy Flake in a Israel Made Shalom Canadian... A large cup of black coffee and a bottle of water alongside... one in each have make me a two handed drinker I guess   |

I took the Lionessa along for the ride to the hospital. The stem became clogged as I left there, headed for Kroger, and a supermarket adventure.
Home now, with the best part of the day shot, I'm thinking of a late lunch, and something nice, in a clean pipe...more to follow!

Pease Union Square in an MMC Elite Cadel reverse calabash cob. What's "BK grade"? Ron made a heck of a bulldog. Mine's morta. It’s essentially from my understanding, a color grading of flue cured Virginia from Virginia growers/graders. The same plant actually produces all of them, for example there is no “red Virginia” tobacco seed. BK grade is typically a deep, dark mahogany or red. Really red. BL grade is flue cured lemon Virginia in a light yellow (bright) BF grade is orange-lemon and BFR grade is a rich orange flue cured Virginia leaf. The BK grade I’ve been aging is the same as red tips in Carolina Red Flake. No casing or anything but the flavor is all there. Ron made some great bulldogs. You got one of his only mortas. |
