Went back to work today after sitting on the couch for 30 glorious days. Turns out work still sucks…go figure. Shoulder is slowly coming along. I’m working on a bowl of Pease Ashbury in the Orlik with an Old Fashion on the side.

Was smoking one of my Maple Street and cube cut burley mixtures in an old Great Dane egg bent cob last night and night before that.
Currently smoking 2022 C&D Jolly Old St. Nicholas in a straight Falcon with a smooth Hyperbole bowl on it.

Last of the day will be Sugar Barrel in a seldom smoked Dr Grabow Omega... I say seldom smoked because the mouthpiece doesn’t sit right in my gob... a tall sweet tea alongside... Does that Grabow have a P-lip or is it a faux P-lip? A faux P-lip. I can handle the real P-lip very well, but that’s the primary reason I don’t smoke it much...

ExB, what’s your take on the Ordained? I have a couple tins of Melange, in the cellar, it’s one of my top 5 tobacco blends. I resist opening them because I tend to smoke nothing else until the whole tin is quickly gone . LOL! Honestly I bought a couple tins on a whim. It’s…ok. It’s not “blow you out of the water” good but it’s serviceable. I can easily smoke a few bowls all day of it. It’s got flavor and a hint of spice but it just doesn’t “wow” me. I would give it 3 stars for being a serviceable, unobjectionable, worry free blend. Now, once some of the tins have some age on them it might make a difference. How does it compare to Melange? I really like the original. Think I’ll pop a tin to ring in the new year.

"Goober" is a good cat name. I give full credit to my nieces, they gave her to me. She's a grey tabby, I would like to get an orange male tabby and call him Booger but Goober does not play well with others. I can relate.

Having Eccentric in my little meer and listening to To Drive the Cold Winter Away by Loreena McKennit. Spring has begun its slow approach.

Good Morning! It's 38° here with a cloudy sky. This afternoon I have to drive my wife to her pulmonologist appointment, but this time to a different pulmonologist in Akron who specializes in drug treatment for her disorder. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of Scottish Flake in the Don Carlos smooth bent Two Note and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a good one everybody!

Good Morning Again! It's 37°, damp, and still cloudy here right now. I just lit up a bowl of Limerick Flake bits and pieces in the Don Carlos. I also popped open a fresh tin and filled the day jar. Before I watch a George Raft movie, I'm going to check the headline news and sip some more coffee.

Smoking some Peterson's Royal Yacht in a Genod apple. We had the Knoxville Pipe Club Christmas Party on Wednesday night and had a good showing of seven members. Lots of food offerings and cookies, not to mention bottles of Rye and Scotch. But nobody drank enough to get impaired for driving. Later we had the White Elephant Gift Exchange.

Happy Friday! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Friday cob and coffee. Not much planned for the day. Got some presents to wrap. Otherwise, just taking it easy.

Having a bowl of 2015 Rattry's Winter Edition in a GBD New Standard Pot 9442... Watching a man get arrested in FL on Youtube. Some people have no respect for the police, law enforcement in general. The officer was polite, professional and respectful to the man in question, but, the man responded with the most vile and disgusting things, I am amazed! A bottle of water alongside...
