I get back from Vegas on Thursday, my son rolls into town a day before. Two daughters live nearby, we are going to host a slumber party for the grandkids… all under 8, 5 of them.
I will help them to make popcorn balls, get them all sugared up before sleep time.😉
Prime rib dinner on Christmas eve go to church in AM, take my son to the airport so him and his daughter can get back home for Santa in SLC. We are then off to a Christmas eve party with my daughters in laws… great people.
Christmas day doing my breakfast casserole, a lot of coffee and pipes!

Most likely some minor feed thing with the ol' gals across the street. Nearest steps, 80 miles away, only blood in WA. Been alone since 3/22, used to it. Sure to be online, all of YOU considered my family. Hoping all to have a good'un each in your own way

As we do every Christmas Day, Janet and I will go to our daughter's house less than ten minutes up the street. The grandkids will be there as well to join us for Christmas dinner.

Prime rib to be smoked on the BBQ using B@B charcoal cause the Jumbo Joe does not play well with regular charcoal. Andes after dinner mint that is all. When it comes to prime rib all I need is a good salt and plenty of au jus.

Kids coming, wife happy to cook for them, this year I bought myself a box of Cigars, looked for them for 3 months, was worried I may have bit on a scam, but they showed up yesterday. Heated vests may be late for my people, but they are adults, will ship them to them when I get them. Wife’s birthday is on the 29 th, gonna surprise here with cash to go to the Casino, she has not gone in about 3 years, and the best part I saved for last, going to get my Buddy tommorow HOT DOG!

I'm working a 12 hour shift. 😄 Not the best way to spend the holiday, but I'm thankful to the essential services personnel who work their shifts regardless.

I feel for you Darin, after my kids left, working shift work, I had the young family guys draw to see who I would work for Christmas, maybe that’s why I had 200 people at my retirement. Exxon didn’t like a supervisor working a wage earners job, told them quote me where it’s illegal, never heard of it afterwards.

After the short service in the morning, I'm going to my sister's for the afternoon. She's a good cook so it'll be a nice meal and we'll get all the family done in one go, which in my family is a good thing.
I haven't bought anything pipe related in ages. I think I'm ok for tobacco and I don't NEED another pipe (but who does?). That said, there are some pipes that catch my eye.

I'm cooking prime rib for 8 on Christmas day, in the oven, but I never hear a complaint. Food, Family and friends equals hugs, handshakes and laughter all around. Pete{Silver}already covered the pipe related holiday issue for me, and in Brairpatch fashion too...to that I can only add a Holiday wish for you all to be safe, healthy and well fed this season.
Merry Christmas!

Home with wife and kids for Xmas this year, as usual. Wife has the flu, currently and kids have a nice cough too. Hoping everyone is better in time. Typically, we drink a bottle wine or two on Xmas eve and make some seafood. Xmas day we hangout in our pj’s all day, watch Christmas Story on repeat, and let the kids enjoy themselves. I am bought a prime rib roast yesterday. I usually do it in the oven and it comes out fantastic. This year I have a Treager and I’m considering giving it a try. We’ll see. Merry Christmas!

Just to clarify, that's all of the grandkids for my parents - my wife and I have 3 of the 9 (under 5 so I guess technically there's still time). If they were all ours I would be scrambling for a much nicer Christmas gift for my wife!

Merry Christmas! Whether indirect roasting on the grill or in the oven, prime rib is pretty easy to pull off and is a crowd pleaser. You just need a good thermometer to know when to pull it out. I typically start mine early and stick it into the cooler box, it stops the cooking, but maintains dinner time temps for quite awhile!

Candles and lessons on Christmas Eve, with a midnight vigil at home to follow. Christmas Day to my mother's along with my brother and his family. I like a quieter contemplative Christmas, close to my family and my faith. I wish all of you a Happy Christmas, in the spirit you most enjoy it.
