Last night it was Yuengling. Right now it's hot chocolate -- Ovaltine with some whey powder added.

Not in the glass yet, but on the way home from the doc I restocked Woodford Double Oaked, which I've been out of for a few months, and picked up something new to me: Copper & Cask Single Barrel.

Strong black coffee in the cup this morning, as God intended it. Last night before bed, a bottle of Bell's Christmas Ale (I got two six-packs shortly before Christmas and am a light enough drinker that I still have most of one of them). A "traditional Scotch ale" per the label and the best of many Christmas ales I've tried over the years, though at 7% ABV this old coot has to drink it with some respect.

Copper & Cask Single Barrel. It's got some bite to it. Prolonged Kentucky hug. So prolonged I went and checked the bottle for the proof: 118. Yeah, that'll do it. Nice flavor. A lot of that classic bourbon cherry.
