Latest test at the Cancer clinic shows blood sugar at 117 mg/dl. That is just about at the Diabetic threshold. I am already taking Jardiance. So, this is too high. Looks as though carbohydrate food will have to be significantly reduced. I am now trying one serving per day. So, breakfast this morning was slab bacon slices, Spam, and one link sausage. Swiss Chard, raw on the side. Out of eggs! Any dietary suggestions ae welcome.

However, the NIH reports that A1c values are higher in men with anemia and I have modest anemia. I need to get a home test kit. Thanks for the tip.

We're doing takeout from the Asian bistro up the street in lieu of eating there for my belated birthday dinner. The order will be... ...1 chicken spicy peanut curry with coconut rice, ...1 beef spicy peanut curry (I need to ask about a single serving of pork fried rice), ...1 order of pork pot stickers, ...and 1 Vietnamese egg roll. This is gonna be good.

Ham and eggs with black beans and sauteed sliced zucchini. Good it was. I noticed that the Eggland's Best Organic eggs I bought yesterday all lack to the EB brand on all of the individual eggs. So, someone took an EB Organic Egg package and filled it with eggs from another source. I missed it in the store. This is the third time this store has sold me eggs which have been tampered with. One time four eggs were removed and stones were substituted. The second time I bought what was labeled "Local Eggs" only to find the carton filled with EB branded eggs. Now I buy EB and find some other eggs, perhaps the local eggs from last time? I am so groggy when at the store it is hard for me to remember to check. I have not discussed this with the store but will double check next time. This is odd that someone would do this just to make an extra $2 but that seems to be the way it here. I do not want to be banned from shopping there as it is more convenient that driving twice as far into Taos and back. Here in northern NM when one makes a complaint one is usually banned from the store as a troublemaker. I have witnessed this happen to other people here. Dodging responsibility is local pastime it seems.

My sugar rarely goes over 160 and it ain't what's going to kill me. Only taking metformin now. Can't take the Rebelsus because I can't schedule it around my other pills so I will probably be starting Wegovy in a couple of weeks. As much for weight loss and my kidney as for the sugar

Bizarre indeed!
Someone switching eggs and the response by the store owner.
Sounds like dickheaditis is rampant in northern NM.
Beautiful country, but it would be hard to live around people like that.
My Albertson’s manager is pretty cool, on the rare occasion that I made a complaint (dogs in shopping carts) he was on it. In less than 24 hours he had a full size poster board explaining what a service dog is and what isn’t, and that rules would be enforced.
He will even special order stuff they do not regularly stock.

Lunch was my own Chili con Carne with beans. No cornbread or tortillas.

Had catfish from the Lake Cafe involving a long drive through some beautiful country around the lake. I hate to think it's only a matter of time till people discover how great this area is. Then there goes the neighborhood. I made a rack of ribs in the oven yesterday and we had some more tonight with potato salad. And hot apple crisp.
