Left to my own devices with Popeyes chicken sandwich and a side of beans and rice. Popeye's is my favorite Fried Chicken Joint chicken. Naturally they are not in this area.

Lunch was a great Rueben Sandwich at Taos Cow, an ice cream joint which has great food. A cone for desert, their Lilac ice cream which is darn good. They also make Lemongrass Ice Cream which I have yet to try.
Supper was half a baguette with goat cheese, cheddar cheese, red onion and ground pepper. Not all together but in stages.

No discomfort since that first meal after the procedure? Much pain in the area of the hepatic flexure where the Transverse and Ascending Colon meet. I believe that is where the "mass" is located. I guess it is sore from being biopsied multiple times. Anyway, the pain has lessened since the procedure. Eating normally.

Not really, if I could lessen the load and give you a reprieve, I would...unfortunately it does not work that way, John.

On/off munchies earlier, getting organized for usual Sunday brunch with the ol' gals. One of our relative newbies asked me whot in hell IS you talking about. For benefit of others with curiosity....pancakes/waffles/sausage links/English muffins. The gals...de-caf coffee, me...cocoa. All this geared to easy cleanup so can spend more time with adult activities. Food a-plenty if not large variety

The Chef is still surfing on the laptop although I saw breakfast sausages that have already been heated up in the skillet. Upon further questioning I was told that cheesy scrambled eggs will follow sometime in the near future. I won't push the issue.

Breakfast of two eggs and one strip of bacon on a whole wheat bagel, toasted, from The New Yorker Bagel Company of Astoria, Queens, NY whom I recommend. Order before 0900 Monday and they are baked that day. Arrive on Wednesday.
Lunch was one roasted chicken thigh and egg noodles with marinara sauce and Reggiano Parmesan cheese.

John the enabler just costed me $42.00 in bagels. Money well spent. I hope you enjoy them as I do. I want to make a smoked salmon spread. All the ingredients are on hand including some nice Alaskan wet smoked salmon.

Beef stew simmering in a Dutch Oven. Top Round Steak cubed with two beef short ribs. Red wine, Marsala, beef stock and Cajun mix and bay leaves for the seasonings and the initial simmer. Then comes the root vegetables (Swedes, carrots and gold potatoes) and finally the portabella mushrooms. I like the baby portabellas as they hold together.

Friend of the family made home made chicken noodles soup.or as I call it stew as when she added the noodles it made it super thick as they had soaked up all the broth. But I like it that way its the way my mom made. Tastes like nostalgia.

A new twist on breaded pork chops. Fresh bread crumbs with 6 spices, mayonnaise as a binding agent, and baked. From America’s test kitchen… very good!
