Heading into the kitchen to core a cabbage for homemade golumpki, Polish stuffed cabbage leaves. Yum! My mom made cabbage roles that I loved. I get them at the Greek restaurant in Shreveport.

A nice Chuck Roast in the Dutch Oven with red wine, beef stock, onions, carrots, and red chile. Cook all afternoon, low and slow. Bought on sale, fortunately. John, you sure eat a lot of things I enjoy. John's a chef, don'tchaknow? 😁

My aunt Della (Delavina Trujillo in her 90's) has rolled tortillas for decades, in the 100's of thousands rolled, she is in the Michael Jordan territory on tortilla excellence. When I visited her we spoke of the family recipe of lard, salt baking powder, etc... She said "I don't have many years ahead of me so this is what I use," and she handed me a bag. I concur, very good...maybe a click under the scratch recipe, but the torts roll easier, and they are good. The prices online do not match what you will find if you have Hispanic markets nearby. No cholesterol says it all.

Irish beef stew from Costco. Don't know what makes it Irish but I like it. It sounds better than Canadian Stew? Or Somali stew.

Drop on by one of these days. I will look into it next time I get down to that part of the country. What is your closest town? Costilla NM. Conveniently located between San Luis CO and Questa NM.

Pulled pork and fresh cole slaw, a gift from the nice lady up the street. She came down for a visit on Sunday morning, but I already had dinner planned for that evening. Yesterday I ran out for sandwich rolls, hot sauce and chips, and we tore into it last night; yum!!!

You are correct...a little heat goes a long way with us, so I'm glad she left that up to us. I had some onion rings in the freezer, but we took the lazy way out and went with chips...a good pork sandwich can stand on it's own anyway.

Store brand (5)fish sticks bake, some tater tots & bulk corn nuke. Just finished, later another sore brand mini pecan pie & tea. Use store brand whenever possible, prices add up when compared with "name" brands, I'd imagine most do
