Today was pop corn shrimp, garlic bread hush puppies and six onion rings. Saving the slaw for later all the food from the little hole is the wall around the corner is pretty tasty.

Friday night I made beef liver and onions in white pepper gravy, with boiled red potatoes. Last night was western omelets, with ham from the one we baked last week, and mixed peppers and onions from the freezer, tater tots on the side, and one biscuit each.

As just mentioned at WAYS, my turn to buy the goodies for brunch with the gals, same menu & cleanup. Toaster waffles/pancakes/link sausage/English muffins. De-caf for them, cocoa for me. Plenty for all, can always re-heat if/when needed
Ed-the system works out well for the 3 of us

To be Zweigles skin-on white dawg, 8mins nuked. No bread, no condiments, just touch of salt & piece of x-sharp cheddar. I do not eat like most people do, just bland is what my digest system can do, goes way back when was a child

John, you sure eat a lot of things I enjoy. Drop on by one of these days. Things kind of got screwed up on me this last summer and did not make it. Planning the family reunion in Colorado springs in July, I plan on seeing you on the latter half of that month.

My aunt Della (Delavina Trujillo in her 90's) has rolled tortillas for decades, in the 100's of thousands rolled, she is in the Michael Jordan territory on tortilla excellence. When I visited her we spoke of the family recipe of lard, salt baking powder, etc... She said "I don't have many years ahead of me so this is what I use," and she handed me a bag. I concur, very good...maybe a click under the scratch recipe, but the torts roll easier, and they are good. The prices online do not match what you will find if you have Hispanic markets nearby.

I went for something easy for my first time ever using a charcoal/wood smoker. I stuffed jalapeños with a cream cheese, cheddar and green onion mix. Bacon wrapped and applewood smoked for two hours. One of the best things I have ever made, food-wise.
