The big bowl of pasta sauce I thawed out ended up being tomatoes left over from our summer canning, so we made tuna salad and had it on sour dough bread, tonight, with a few potato chips.

Soon to diner, home with fish fry, side of regular fries, other side...donate & hope to a Veteran. Have seen lots of Veterans caps over all the years. At home, some melted butter over fries, same with the fish. Another store brand mini-pie & tea later

Celery stalks with pimento cheese. I don't have Bologna on hand and if I did it would be thick sliced.

Dinner was a decent French Dip with Mash and corn. Tiny cherry pie. Good to be eating solid food after three days of fasting and liquids only.

Well, I don't have a cold! Ha. Sounds like Ernie sticking a banana in his ear to keep alligators away. It's one of those local traditions. Warm ginger ale, specifically Vernor's, to ease cold symptoms. Do bananas really work with alligators? A popular fruit here, and we don't have any gators.

Last night was air fried chicken thighs a nice brow rice and a big chunk of garlic bread. I spied bacon thawing out on the counter so making as much noise as possible without being obvious.

My contribution to the super bowl party at the kid's house: Dolmathakia me Kima: Stuffed Grape leaves with meat (lean ground beef) and rice.
If you order these at a Greek restaurant, do not complain about the price, like Empanada's they are tedious to make. Hopefully the results will be ok...
The wife gets the easy task, jumbo shrimp and homemade cocktail sauce.

Seeing that electricity back on, no damage to freezer foods, munchies during SupBowl will be "dessert food". Bought buy one, get one free store brand maple walnut ice cream, maybe some of one of two frozen pies, probably key lime. Both keep me going long as stay awake
Ed-not healthy eating for certain

Invented at a Vernor's soda fountain at Woodward/Boston Blvd. in Detroit. Cures the common cold and tastes good.
